Girls Outperform In Telangana Inter First Year Exams
While 61.68% of the girls passed the exams, only 49.60% of the boys cleared them.

Girls outperformed boys in the Intermediate Public Examinations 2015 of Telangana for the first year students. The results were announced on Wednesday. While 61.68% of the girls passed the exams, only 49.60% of the boys cleared them.
The girls maintained their dominance in Vocational with a pass percentage of 53.56 compared to the boys' pass percentage of 37.42.
The results were announced by Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari at the BIE office at Nampally.
The minister informed that 55.62% of the 431,363 candidates had passed the Intermediate first year exams. And of 35,085 vocational exams candidates, 43.43% had cleared the exams.
26.55% of the candidates secured more than 75% marks (A Grade), while 16.52% got B Grade (60%-75% marks). 8.59% got C Grade, and 3.95% got D Grade.
50 candidates in the general category and 14 candidates in the vocational category were booked for malpractices, and the results of six candidates in the general category have been withheld.
In the general category, the Ranga Reddy district stood on top with a 71% pass percentage, followed by Hyderabad (59), Khammam (56), Adilabad (53) and Warangal (52). The Nalgonda district had the lowest passing percentage of 43.
In vocational, too, the Ranga Reddy district was on top with a pass percentage of 56, and the Nizambad and Warangal districts had the lowest pass percentage of 35.
The Deputy CM informed that the pass percentage had improved compared to the previous years. As compared to pass percentages of 50.24% in 2013 and 52.65% in 2014, the passing percentage in the general category in 2015 was 55.62%.
The marks registers of all colleges will be dispatched to the Regional Inspection Officers concerned within two days. The Principals of the colleges need to collect them from the RIOs immediately and display them in their colleges. The Principals can collect Memoranda of Marks from the RIOs on April 26 and see that they are given to the candidates at the earliest.
Discrepancies, if any, found in the Memorandum of Marks should be referred to the Board through the concerned Principals before May 22. Applications received after this date will not be entertained.
The last date for the payment of the examination fee for the Intermediate advanced supplementary examinations, May/June 2015, is May 1. There is no provision for payment of examination fee with penalty after the due date.
