Additional Commissioner Sneha Sabarish directed enumerators and supervisors to be fully prepared to conduct a comprehensive survey.
GHMC Additional Commissioner Sneha Sabarish today directed enumerators and supervisors to be fully prepared to conduct a comprehensive house-to-house survey in November.
A training program was held for Deputy Commissioners and circle-level master trainers at the GHMC headquarters conference hall to ensure effective implementation of this door-to-door survey.
"The primary objective of this survey is to gather detailed information on each family's socio-economic status, education levels, employment conditions, political affiliations and financial situation. This data will provide a comprehensive understanding of the citizens' living conditions and needs, allowing us to identify potential solutions," she explained.
She emphasized the importance of conducting the survey transparently, stressing that ethical standards needed to be observed strictly in collecting the survey data, with a focus on protecting personal privacy.
"Enumerators and supervisors will be appointed, and the enumerators will be monitored and guided throughout the process. They must follow established guidelines to ensure complete and accurate enrollment of all families within their designated blocks, and will be responsible for collecting data from each assigned family. Houses with completed surveys will be marked with stickers, and supervisors will randomly verify 10% of the surveyed households to ensure accuracy," she added.
Financial Advisor Sarath Chandra provided an overview of the household schedule survey form, house-listing form and enumerator guidelines. Through a presentation, he demonstrated how the survey needed to be conveyed, and highlighted essential details. The master trainers were briefed on survey management techniques, technologies and best practices, with specific attention given to handling common challenges and the preventive measures to be taken.
The attendees' questions about the survey process were addressed in a Q&A session following the presentation.
GHMC Additional Commissioners Alivelu Mangathayar and Saroja, along with Zonal Commissioners Hemant Keshav Patil, Anurag Jayanthi, Apoorv Chauhan, Ravi Kiran and Venkanna, Chief Horticulture Officer Sunanda, Deputy Commissioners, Project Officers, AMCs and master trainers, participated in the program.
