GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said that the Samagra Kutumba Survey Pre-Visit-1 had started in all the 150 Wards of the GHMC.
In Pre-Visit-1, for each census enumeration block, one enumerator, and depending upon the household 2-4 associate enumerators, had been deployed.
They had been provided with enumerator booklets, pamphlets, check slips and stickers for Pre-Visit-1.
The GHMC Commissioner said that Hyderabad was a very big city with high density, and so even in small areas, there were lots of houses. That's why Pre-Visits were arranged on Sunday, and they would be held again on Monday to ensure that no houses or areas were left out.
If any house or area was missed out by the enumerators or a sticker not pasted, the residents may call the 24x7 call centre 040-21111111 and register a complaint, furnishing their house address, area, circle etc. so that the GHMC could arrange an enumerator the next day itself.
Kumar informed that by 6pm on Sunday, 3,300 calls had been received at the GHMC call center regarding the survey, and of them 150 calls were about enumerators not visiting certain houses.
These complaints had been redressed, the Commissioner said. (INN)
