Property Tax Now Payable Through Seven Banks, Too
323 branches in Hyderabad of SBH, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank, ING Vysya Bank, Yes Bank, Indian Bank and HDFC Bank will also accept payments now.

Information Technology Minister K Taraka Rama Rao appealed to the citizens of Greater Hyderabad to pay their taxes in time and cooperate with the GHMC to make Hyderabad a world-class city.
In this connection, for the convenience of the tax-payers, the minister formally launched payment options in 323 branches in Hyderabad of seven banks - State Bank of Hyderabad, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank, ING Vysya Bank, Yes Bank, Indian Bank and HDFC Bank.
KTR said that the existing options for property tax payments included mee-seva centres, citizen service centres in 18 circles of the GHMC, hand-held devices of bill collectors, and internet banking. To further enhance the convenience for the citizens and tax-payers, these new options had been launched.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar said that nationalized and private banks were also coming forward to join hands with the GHMC in providing additional channels for payment of taxes by enabling payment through net banking.
The Commissioner further stated that separate counters had been organized in all the banks to simplify things for the tax-payers. The citizens can also pay their taxes using net banking, credit cards or debit cards without any glitches.
