Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi today called on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his residence.
During the meeting, she raised issues related to the GHMC with the Chief Minister and urged him to extend support in resolving them.
The Mayor also complained to the CM that the GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose was not cooperating with her in the administration.
Rose was then summoned by the CM to the meeting and directed to work harmoniously in coordination with the Mayor.
The Mayor also discussed matters related to the standing committee, council meeting, and financial situation of GHMC with the CM.
There has been a delay in conducting the GHMC general body meeting, which usually occurs every three months. The last meeting was held in August and the next meeting was supposed to be held in November, but hasn't been held till now due reportedly to the Assembly elections and other reasons. The Mayor brought this too to the CM's notice.
Vijayalaxmi also urged the CM to invite her to the review meetings of the city.
In response, the CM asked her to attend a meeting on city issues to be held on Sunday, in which Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Dana Kishore, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose and others would participate.
