GHMC Launches 'Rupees Five Meals' Scheme
GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, along with his Deputy Minister Baba Fasiuddin, launched the Rs. 5 meals scheme at Borabanda.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, along with Deputy Minister Baba Fasiuddin, inaugurated the ongoing Rs. 5 Meals scheme at Borabanda on Thursday.
As per reports, the GHMC will spend around Rs. 30 crores for the initiative, where around 50,000 people are estimated to be benefited.
On the occasion, addressing the media, the Mayor said that the scheme had been implemented at 50 centers in different parts of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, and the GHMC was planning to increase these centers to 150 in the near future.
Rammohan also said that the GHMC started to pinpoint all the places where the outreach program could be implemented for the needy and the destitute.
N Ravi Kiran, Additional Commissioner (H&S), Sudhamshu, Deputy Commissioner, and representatives from the Hare Krishna Foundation also participated in the program.
