GHMC Imposes Ban On Banners, Hoardings
The GHMC has imposed a ban on the erection of any type of flex banners, hoardings and sign boards across its limits including Hyderabad.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has imposed a ban on the erection of any type of flex banners, hoardings and sign boards across its limits.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar has warned agencies, business managements, coaching centres, educational institutions and commercial establishments in the GHMC limits that hereafter no one could erect any type of flex banners, hoardings, sign boards etc. as per the orders of the High Court.
He said that those violating the rules would have to face legal action by way of heavy penalties and even seizure of the shops / establishments.
The Special Officer said that the GHMC was in receipt of a lot of complaints with regard to unauthorized flex banners, hoardings, sign boards etc. at Ameerpet in the surroundings of Mythrivanam and Aditya Enclave Centre where most of the businesses / commercial establishments, educational institutions were erecting hoardings and distributing pamphlets giving a very shabby look to the entire area.
Kumar personally inspected some of the business areas, and observed that the hoardings and banners were even posing a threat to the citizens' lives.
He directed the institutions to remove the banners/hoardings by March 7.
Additional Commissioner (H&S) N Ravi Kiran, Zonal Commissioner (Central) M S S Somaraju and other senior officials from the traffic police department, and officials from the engineering, town planning and health wings of the GHMC participated in the inspection. (INN)
