The L B Stadium today dazzled bright and pink, the colour of the TRS, in preparation for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's public meeting.
Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar said that elaborate security?arrangements had been made, and about 50,000 police personnel had been deployed to ensure that the meeting went smoothly.
Traffic has been diverted on the roads near the stadium.
Despite the coronavirus, the meeting attracted huge crowds wishing to witness the CM's address to the city's populace ahead of the GHMC elections, with many of them being the party's supporters who descended upon the streets in large numbers in a celebratory mood.
The meeting was headlined by artistes enthralling audiences with songs and dance performances, and minister T Srinivas Yadav listing out the welfare programs being offered by the state government.
Home Minister Mahmood Ali, too, addressed the gathering, and said that the KCR government was committed to the welfare and security of all the people in the city.
"Under the TRS' rule, the people are safe and living in communal harmony. They should all vote for the party's candidates, and help it win the elections," he said.
