GHMC Elections: Chandrababu Naidu To Campaign

The Telangana State BJP on Sunday said that there would be amicable seat adjustments between the TDP and BJP so as to win the GHMC elections. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts would be shared, it said.

Speaking to mediapersons, BJP Legislature Party leader Dr K Laxman said that the Parties had information that the citizens of Greater Hyderabad were overwhelmingly favoring the BJP-TDP combine ruling the city, and that the Parties would soon plunge into electioneering with a manifesto agreeable to both.

Stating that combine was ready to face the conspiracies of the ruling TRS, Dr Laxman said that several Union ministers along with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu would participate in the election campaigning.

He said that the Parties had finalized a plan to hold four public meetings a day during January 17 to 25, and that one Union minister will address the meetings every day.

Road shows would also be organized in all the 150 divisions of the corporation on January 28, 29 and 30, in which Chandrababu Naidu and Union ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Bandaru Dattatreya would participate.

The BJPLP leader also said that his Party would organize a huge public meeting in Hyderabad on January 12.
