The CBI Special Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on the bail petitions of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) Managing Director Srinivas Reddy to 15 November.
The court adjourned the hearing after the Central Bureau Of Investigation filed a counter opposing the bail petition, on the grounds that the investigations into the case are still on.
The court will also hear the custody petition of CBI of both the accused on 15 November.
Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law Srinivas Reddy filed bail petitions in the court for the 3rd time after they were rejected twice by the Special CBI Court.
The accused also moved a bail petition in the State High Court, where it is scheduled to come up for hearing on 18 November.
The CBI had arrested the duo from Bellary on 5 September in connection with illegal mining case registered against the OMC in 2009. (INN)
