OMC Case: CBI Files Chargesheet
The other documents related to the case are of nearly 60,000 pages, compiled in 20 volumes, and brought to the CBI court in 10 boxes.

Almost 3 months after it made first arrest, the Central Bureau Of Investigation on Saturday filed a chargesheet in the illegal iron ore mining case of the Obulapuram Mining Corporation.
The 186-page chargesheet, filed before the CBI Special Court at the Criminal Courts Complex at Nampally, comprises nearly 600 documents. The CBI examined 201 witnesses in the case.
However, the other documents related to the case are of nearly 60,000 pages, compiled in 20 volumes, which were brought to the CBI court in 10 boxes on Saturday morning.
According to CBI sources, the chargesheet was prepared with the help of the officials of the departments of Mining, Forest and Revenue.
Of 5 people arrested in the case, the CBI has named 3 accused in the first chargesheet, filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act 1998, and Section 120 (B), 409, 420, 468, 471, 13 (2) of IPC 13 (2) Read With 13 (1) D.
While former Karnataka Minister and OMC chairman Gali Janardhan Reddy is the first accused in the case, OMC managing director B V Srinivasa Reddy and former mines director V D Rajagopal are the 2nd and 3rd accused, respectively.
Suspended IAS officer Y Srilakshmi's name has not been included in the first chargesheet, as the CBI is yet to receive the Centre's approval for her prosecution.
Her name, along with OMC Director Rajasekhar's, who was arrested on Friday, might be included in the supplementary chargesheet to be filed by the CBI later. (INN)
