The CBI Special Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of bail petitions of former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law Srinivasa Reddy, to 29 September.
The Special Court took this decision following the continuing strike by Telangana lawyers.
Gali Janardhan Reddy and Srinivas Reddy were arrested by the CBI in connection with illegal mining case registered against the Obulapuram Mining Corporation.
Meanwhile, CBI Director Balwinder Singh on Thursday came from New Delhi to Hyderabad to personally review the progress of the cases against the OMC and the disproportionate assets case against YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. He was received at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport by CBI Joint Director V V Laxminarayana.
Later, both the officials proceeded to Dilkusha Guest House to review the cases.
"I came here as part of the investigation and there is nothing much to elaborate on my visit," Balwinder Singh said. (INN)
