Balladeer Gaddar has said that he wanted power, and for that he would contest the 2019 elections.
Participating in a seminar organized by the Bahujan Left Front (BLF) at the Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram on Sunday, Gaddar called upon all communists to unite. Bahujan Rajyadhikar possible only with the unity of the Lal and the Neel flags, he said, adding that discussions were on for that.
"Seeing the Lal and the Neel flags in the process of getting united, I am starting to get interested in contesting the elections. I didn't even have a vote all these years, and will enroll my name for the voters' list first," he said.
Responding quickly, CPM state secretary Thammineni Veerabhadram said his party would invite the balladeer to join it and send him to the legislative houses. He also said that the Bahujana Left Front (BLF) would confine itself to the unity of the red flags, and would try to onboard the remaining Left parties too. He said that many political parties were interested in joining the BLF.
Thammineni also said that they would provide food facility in every village, and strive to bring about a democratic revolution in the state in case BLF comes to power.
