Telangana Praja Front (TPF) leader Gadar, on Saturday, reiterated that the outfit he had floated to fight for a separate Telangana state was not political, but was a front which would make the aspirations of the Telangana people come true. The TPF leader also said that his outfit would fight to save the natural resources of the region from being exploited by unscrupulous businessmen.
Speaking at a program to launch the Telangana Praja Front formally at Maruti Gardens in Lakdikapul, Gadar said that the first task on hand for his outfit would be to pressurize the various MPs from the region to introduce a bill in parliament in this regard.
The famous balladeer said that the TPF believed in peaceful agitations to achieve its aims and it would continue on that path. The Telangana protagonist pointed out that the Congress high command, which had been neglecting the issue since the past 6 decades, was forced to act only after the students had come out on the streets over the separate statehood demand.
The TPF leader expressed optimism that his outfit would attract people from all walks of life, including political leaders, who had genuine love for Telangana. Gadar said that his outfit would also unite all politicians from Telangana who have the desire of a separate state, but were unable to prevail on their parties due to political compulsions.
The balladeer said that the TPF would start its fight for Telangana from the village level, and emphasized that care would be taken not to violate any law laid down in the constitution of India.
