In the railway budget for 2016-17 presented to Parliament today, funds were allotted to the following projects in the two Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh:
1. A freight line between Vijayawada and Kharagpur 2. A trade corridor between Nagpur and Vijayawada 3. Development and modernization of the Tirupati railway station as a spiritual station 4. Extension of the Hyderabad suburban network in cooperation with the Telangana state
And the funds allocated to the new railway lines in the two Telugu states are:
1. Rs. 200 crores for the Kotipalli-Narasapuram line 2. Rs. 50 crores for the Pithapuram-Kakinada line 3. Rs. 114 crores for the third line between Kazipet and Vijayawada 4. Rs. 70 crores to the Peddapalli-Nizamabad line 5. Rs. 20 crores to the Macherla-Nalgonda line 6. Rs. 180 crores to the Munirabad-Mahabubnagar line 7. Rs. 5 crores for the ROB construction between Kazipet and Warangal 8. Rs. 80 crores for doubling the works between Secunderabad and Mahabubnagar 9. Rs. 5 crores for the construction of a subway between Peddapalli and Jagithyala 10. Rs. 15 crores for the Raghavapuram-Mandamarri line
