Four More Rs 5 Meal Centers Opened In City
Till date 41 such meals centers have been started in the GHMC limits, and another 60 centers are planned for the future.

Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahamood Ali today inaugurated four more Rs 5 meals scheme centers, in the Old City.
The scheme is being implemented by the GHMC in collaboration with the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKMCF).
The four meal centers were inaugurated at Mir Alam Mandi, Madannapet Market, Malakpet Area Hospital and the State Central Library in Afzaljung.
Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and Charminar MLA Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri were present at Mir Alam Mandi. Singiredy Srinivas Reddy, TRS Ad Hoc Committee member, and Maneranga, TRS division president, were present at the Madannapet market. Malakpet MLA Ahmed Bin Abdulla Balala, Akbarbagh Corporator Syed Minajuddin and others were present at the Malakpet market area center. And MLC Syed Altaf Hyder Razvi was present at the State Central Library center.
GHMC Joint Commissioner Ravi Kiran, GHMC Zonal Commissioner Subramaniam and Chief Operating Officer of the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKMCF) Kaunteya Swamiji were also present during the inaugural programs at all the centers.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM expressed satisfaction with regard to the opening of these centers, and with the efforts of both the GHMC and the HKMCF to provide healthy and tasty food in hygienic conditions for just Rs 5.
He reiterated the commitment of the TRS government under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to feed the most needy at very affordable rates. He said that till date 41 meals centers had been started, and in future another 60 centers would be opened in the GHMC limits. Some 12,500 people were being provided lunch everyday across the GHMC limits from these 41 centers, he informed.
Through the GHMC, the TRS government was supporting the HKMCF by providing Rs 18 per meal. The meals were prepared at state-of-the-art fully mechanized kitchens in healthy and hygienic conditions, and supplied to all the centers by HKMCF every day, he said. Every meal contains 400 gm rice, 100 gm sambar/dal, 100 gm curry, and pickle.
