Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka today said that the registration of the case on BRS working president K T Rama Rao in the Formula E race was part of governance.
Speaking at an education conference in Chennai, the Deputy CM said, "The Congress has not taken any action in the Formula E race incident. Allegations of misuse of public funds were raised, which led to the filing of a case against KTR and the initiation of a departmental inquiry by the relevant departments. Anyone is free to present their views to the investigating agencies regarding this matter."
Shifting his focus then to education, Vikramarka reiterated the State government's commitment to preparing Telangana's students for global competition.
"In line with this commitment, the government is establishing the Young India Integrated Residential Schools, which adhere to international standards. Admissions to these schools will be conducted without any discrimination on caste, religion or regional lines. Each school is being built on a 20-25-acre site, with an estimated budget of Rs 200 crore," he said.
The Deputy CM claimed that the State government had allocated Rs 21,000 crore to the education sector for the current financial year, with plans to increase this allocation in the future. Of this, Rs 5,000 crore had been earmarked for establishing 60 Young India International Residential Schools, he said.
