Former Deputy Chief Minister and TRS MLC Kadiyam Srihari tested positive for the coronavirus, according to reports.
He was in home isolation in Warangal till Tuesday and doctors conducted tests for the coronavirus on him when he started showing symptoms. The tests confirmed that he was infected by the virus.
His two gunmen and his PA, and a driver, also tested positive for the virus, the doctors said.
Srihari may be shifted to Hyderabad for treatment in NIMS.
Another TRS MLA, Vivekananda Goud, also tested positive for the virus two days ago. His family members including wife Soujanya and son Vidhath, and a servant, were also found to have the virus.
Telangana has 47,705 coronavirus cases so far, and 429 deaths. On Tuesday 1,430 positive cases were discovered including 703 in the GHMC area.
