Former MLA Janardhan Reddy To Leave BRS?

It is being said that the former Nagar Kurnool MLA held a lot of discussions with Congress leaders to contest for the Malkajgiri MP seat as the party's candidate.
Hyderabad | 2nd February 2024
Former MLA of Nagar Kurnool Marri Janardhan Reddy is said to be planning to leave the party.

Reddy, who was defeated in the Assembly elections by a small majority, is reportedly planning to contest in the upcoming the Lok Sabha elections.

It is being said that he has held a lot of discussions with Congress leaders to contest for the Malkajgiri MP seat as the party's candidate.

Leaders and activists of the Nagar Kurnool BRS unit are perplexed by this news. A meeting was arranged with the BRS' leaders and workers today by Reddy, and there is a possibility of a clarification from him on the issue.

In last year's Assembly elections, Reddy contested from the Nagar Kurnool constituency and lost to the Congress candidate Kuchukulla Rajesh Reddy. Rajesh Reddy won by a majority of 5,248 votes.

Having suffered defeat in the MLA election, Janardhan Reddy is now said to be hoping for the Malkajgiri ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
