Senior Congress leader Uppununthala Purushotham Reddy, on Sunday, predicted that the ruling party, the Congress, would be wiped out from the state in the 2014 general elections.
Talking to media persons after joining the YSR Congress, at a meeting in Rayagiri in Nalgonda district, Purushotham Reddy said that the people of the state would teach the Congress a fitting lesson in the ensuing elections for diluting the schemes started by former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Accusing the state government of having failed on all fronts, he said that governance in AP has come to a standstill as Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy lacks experience and had never served as a minister earlier.
Stating that no one could replace YSR from the hearts of people, he expressed confidence that YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would become the Chief Minister after the next elections.
He said that he would make sincere efforts to strengthen the YSRCP at the grassroots level in his constituency, and win with a huge majority in the ensuing elections. (INN)
