Focus On Easing Traffic, Corruption-Free Rule: Mayor
New GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan said his priorities were easing the traffic snarls, ensuring zero corruption and providing basic amenities to the people.
After taking over as the Mayor of the GHMC, Bonthu Rammohan today said that his priorities were to focus on easing the traffic snarls, ensuring corruption-free governance and providing basic amenities to the people.
At his maiden media conference, addressed along with his deputy Md Baba Fasiyuddin at the civic body headquarters, Rammohan asserted that the TRS corporators would live up to the expectations of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in developing the city and tackling its problems.
"First we will understand the issues plaguing the city, and then start making plans and taking decisions," Rammohan said.
Rammohan said that KCR had given them the top posts in recognition to their committed services to the Party and during the statehood movement, and extended gratitude to KCR and KTR for the responsibility. He stated that he would follow the leaders' guidelines for the city's development and addressing its problems.
Rammohan also said that he would take all the corporators along in his attempts to address the major issues.
The Mayor added that the new corporators would replicate the statehood agitation spirit and approach in the movement to develop the city, by involving the people in transforming Hyderabad into a global city.
A robust plan would be implemented to check the traffic problem, which was aggravating as people from the districts and other States were coming to the city which was a hub of employment, he said.
