Five Bhavani Devotees Killed In Sangareddy Accident
Separately, seven persons sustained injuries when the car they were traveling in jumped off a culvert near Katnapalli, Sultanabad mandal, this morning.

Five persons were killed when the DCM in which they were traveling collided with an RTC bus on the Medak to Sangaipet road.
The deceased were all pilgrims to the Sri Vana Durga Bhavani Devasthanam, Edupayala, in Papannapet mandal.
The accident took place when the devotees, said to be natives of Pasalwadi village of Sangareddy mandal, were returning home after offering prayers to the presiding deity of the temple.
Some passengers of the RTC bus too were injured in the accident, and were rushed to the Government Hospital at Medak.
The identities of the deceased devotees are yet to be ascertained.
The police have registered a case and taken up investigation.

The mishap took place when Manthani Ramakrishna, working as an engineer in Hyderabad, along with his family members was proceeding to Hyderabad from Mancherial.
When the car reached the culvert, the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit the divider and then plunged off the culvert after hitting a wall.
Reports said that locals rescued the injured persons from the car and shifted them to a hospital.
The police are investigating this incident, too.
