Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to inaugurate a two-day marathon administration of the famed fish medicine for asthma patients at the Exhibition Grounds on June 8 at around 11 am.
Bathini Harinath Goud today appealed to the Telangana government to make the necessary arrangements at the grounds and to supply Murrel or similar fish for the noble cause besides all basic facilities like drinking water, electricity, transportation, traffic regulation and security.
In a representation to Agriculture Minister P Srinivas Reddy at the Secretariat, Goud extended an invitation to the Chief Minister to inaugurate the event, and KCR reportedly accepted it.
Later, Goud told the media that the Chief Minister would inaugurate the program along with home minister N Narsimha Reddy and other ministers.
"We have urged the government to ask the fisheries department to provide adequate number of fish to cater to the lakhs of people including VIPs and prominent personalities," he said. "The government has agreed to provide facilities for the mega event." (NSS)
