Fire In Srisailam Power Plant Kills Nine

In a tragic incident, a fire last night in the Srisailam hydroelectric plant located on the border of AP and Telangana proved fatal for many people.

In a tragic incident, at 10:30 pm last night (August 20), a fire started in an underground power station of the Srisailam hydroelectric plant located on the border of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana that proved fatal for many people.

About twenty people were in the plant at the time that the fire started, and nine of them are dead.

The other eleven all reportedly got out.

The dead included a Divisional Engineer and four Assistant Engineers.

The reason for the fire breaking out are not yet known, but a short circuit is being assumed.

NDRF and CISF personnel are assisting with the rescue operations.

PM Narendra Modi, and the CMs of AP and Telangana, among other leaders, expressed deep sorrow at the deaths.
