Many Tollywood stars enthusiastically came to vote in the GHMC elections today, which were held from 7 am to 5 pm.
The film stars, accompanied by their family members, reached the polling stations in the posh Jubilee Hills and Filmnagar areas in the early hours after polling commenced, to cast their votes.
One of the first to reach the polling station in Jubilee Hills area was Junior NTR, who along with his wife Pranitha exercised his voting right. Though he was not keeping good health, Junior NTR came to vote as he felt it was his responsibility as a citizen, he said after casting his vote.
Popularly known to his fans as "young tiger", Jr NTR said that he envisaged Hyderabad as a green and clean city. Every citizen should utilize his right to vote to elect a good leader, he said.

Soggade Chinni Nayana, Akkineni Nagarjuna, all smiles, walked along with his wife Amala and cast his vote.
Another film star and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna also exercised his franchise.
His sister Nara Bhuvaneshwari, who is also the wife of AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, also came along with her son Nara Lokesh and daughter-in-law Brahmani, and cast her vote. Incidentally, Chandrababu Naidu is not listed as a voter in the GHMC limits.
Other film personalities who voted included actors Allu Arjun, Rajendra Prasad, Manchu Manoj, Manchu Lakshmi, Ghattamaneni Krishna and Vijayanirmala, Telugu cine writer Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, and producer and director Dasari Narayana Rao.
The two Telugu States' Governor E S L Narsimhan and his wife Vimala Narasimhan, union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, ministers K Taraka Rama Rao, Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Director General of Police Anurag Sharma, State Election Officer Nagi Reddy, GHMC Commissioner Janardhan Reddy, "Eenadu" Managing director Ch Kiran, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Mahendar Reddy, BJP MLAs G Kishan Reddy and Dr K Lakshman, Chevella MP Konda Visweshwar Reddy and others.
All the noted personalities, after casting their votes, earnestly appealed to the citizens, especially the youth and first-time voters, to utilize their voting right to elect suitable and capable leaders to transform Hyderabad into a global city.
