Hyderabad | 10th October 2021
Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar on Saturday instructed officials to ensure that proper facilities for the attendants of patients coming to the government hospitals in Hyderabad were made available from Dasara.

During the recently concluded Assembly session it was brought to the notice of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao that a large number of attendants were coming to the government hospitals in Hyderabad and facing problems due to a lack of proper facilities.

As per the directions of the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary reviewed the situation with senior officials of the health department and the concerned hospital superintendents at BRKR Bhavan today.

The CS instructed the officials to immediately identify suitable locations within the vicinities of these hospitals for having functional attendants' accommodation.

He also instructed that subsidized breakfast, lunch and dinner in collaboration with the Hare Krishna Mission Charitable Foundation be provided for the attendants.

Necessary arrangements for drinking water and sanitary facilities also needed to be made, the CS said, with special arrangements for lady attendants.

A large number of attendants come to the Niloufer, Osmania, Gandhi, TIMS, King Koti, Fever, M J Cancer and Government Maternity hospitals, and to TIMS and NIMS, and the arrangements being planned will benefit them, the CS said.
