Finance Minister Etela Rajender on Tuesday urged the Centre to provide an additional 1500 MW of power to Telangana.
Speaking to media persons at the State Secretariat, Rajender said that Telangana was facing a severe energy crisis, and therefore the Centre should come to its rescue by providing 1500 MW of power.
He said that the Centre should address the needs of both the Telugu-speaking States, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Etela also said that the Telangana government would soon unveil its industrial policy, wherein the investors would get attractive sops.
He said that industrialists and investors need not worry about the ongoing power crisis, as Telangana would be an energy-surplus State in the next 3 years. (INN)
