Etala's Wife Contesting For Huzurabad Seat?

Etala Jamuna, wife of BJP leader and former minister Etala Rajender, today made a sensational revelation about the upcoming Huzurabad by-election.

While campaigning for the BJP in some wards of Huzurabad, she said that it was possible that she may also contest for the seat and that there was "no difference" whether she or her husband stood for the election.

"I, too, took part in the Telangana agitation along with my husband and encouraged him to lead from the front. I have considerable experience with political campaigns as well because I have campaigned for my husband in the past. So, it should not matter whether I contest for the Huzurabad seat or he does. One of us will surely fight for the seat," Jamuna explained.

On the occasion, she also urged the public to vote for the BJP in support of the development her husband had brought to their region.

However, while the campaign went off smoothly for the most part, Jamuna did have a bitter experience at the house of one Srinivas who tried to corner her, claiming that her husband had failed to fulfil his promise of providing aid of Rs 5 lakh and employment to one of his family members after the death of his son in an accident.

Jamuna's comments today have assumed great importance in the wake of reports that Rajender himself is planning to drop out of the race for the seat.
