Telangana Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao today showed his humanitarian side by offering help to an injured tribal youth in Warangal district.
The minister was returning after conducting a TRS membership drive in Palakurthy when he ran into the injured youth Lakavath Chanti, who had been hurt in an accident, and his family.
The man's family were looking for help when Rao stopped his convoy at the site of the mishap, and inquired about the incident.
The family reportedly told him that Chanti's bike had lost control which had caused him to fall off it and injure himself.
After consoling the distraught family, the minister immediately instructed his staff to use his vehicle to rush the injured man to a hospital for treatment. He also offered the family monetary aid to help cover the expense of the treatment.
The family extended their thanks to the minister.
Dayakar Rao had recently also visited the site of the
tragic Warangal accident of February, 10, in which three people lost their lives after their car plunged into the SRSP distributor canal, near Parvathagiri mandal's Kondapaka village. On his visit, he directed the concerned officials to extend immediate help to the victims' kin, and to start works to construct a sidewall and put up signboards in order to avoid such accidents in the future.
