Telugu Desam Telangana Forum Convener Errabelli Dayakar on Saturday hinted at a possible alliance between the TDP and Bharatiya Janata Party.
Speaking to media persons here, Errabelli said that the alliance between the TDP and BJP would benefit both the parties in the State.
However, he did not reveal any specific details with regard to the steps being taken by both the parties for a pre-poll alliance.
Errabelli's statement assumes significance in view of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu's growing closeness with the BJP's top leadership.
Naidu shared the dais with BJP's prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, and also attended the swearing-in-ceremony of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Regarding the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, Errabelli accused both the Congress and the TRS of delaying the formation of Telangana.
He said that the TRS was acting at the behest of the ruling party to delay the Telangana formation.
The TDP leader also wondered about Andhra Pradesh being awarded the Best Governance Award of the India Today Group.
He sought to know what type of development was achieved by the State which has been hit by uncertainty for the last so many months. (INN)
