The State Cabinet meeting scheduled for today was adjourned due to approval for it not being received from the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy decided to hold a Cabinet meeting today, and came to the Secretariat. However, with the Election Commission refusing to give permission for the meeting, the Chief Minister was forced to postpone the proposed meeting.
The State government sought the Commission's permission for the meeting as the Model Code of Conduct is still in force in Telangana following the ongoing Lok Sabha elections across the country. However, the permission was not received from the ECI till Saturday night. Due to lack of response from the Election Commission, the meeting was postponed.
