The Election Commission, on Wednesday, issued notices to Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao, for making religious comments in the by-election campaign, violating the model code of conduct.
While serving the notices, the Commission asked KCR to file his explanation over his comments, by 3pm, 31 May.
According to reports, KCR made controversial comments, violating the code of conduct, during the by-election campaign at Parakala Assembly constituency, on 27 May.
The Election Commission issued the notices to KCR based on complaints lodged by the Bharatiya Janata Party.(INN)
