EAMCET Medical Counselling Begins In Telangana, AP

The counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in colleges across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for the academic year 2014-15 began at five centres on Saturday.

Of the five, three are located in Andhra Pradesh, and two in Telangana.

The NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) has made elaborate arrangements for the counselling at the NTRUHS Administrative Building in Vijayawada, the JNTU campus at Kukatpally in Hyderabad, the School of Distance Education of Andhra University at Visakhapatnam, the Old MBA Building of Sri Venkateswara University, and the Online Counselling Centre of Kakatiya University at Warangal.

The counselling for open category seats in government and private colleges candidates for ranks 1 to 1,500 is being held today. Counselling for ranks from 1,501 to 4,500 will be held on Sunday, and that for ranks from 6,501 to 8,500 will be held on Monday.

The counselling will be held from 9am to 1pm.

As per the NTRUHS schedule, for candidates belonging to SCs, STs and BCs, and with ranks between 1 and 25,000, counselling will be conducted on September 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Anglo-Indian candidates may appear for the counselling only at NTRUHS. (INN)
