DWCRA rural bazaar displaying rural items from all over India starts October 4th In Hyderabad.
Enchanting handlooms of Pochampally, Venkatagiri, Gadwal, Narayanpet, Kalamkari, beautiful handicrafts made with jute, coir, wood and metal, soft toys, terrakota, leather goods, readymade garments and mouth-watering food products like pickles, powders and snacks from Andhra Pradesh will be on display and sale at the DWCRA bazaar, which will be held from October 4th to 17th at People's Plaza, Necklace Road.
According to the Union Ministry Of Rural Development, it would organise the bazaar jointly with the state government.
Colourful dresses from Gujarat, intricate chikan works from Uttar Pradesh, soft silks from Karnataka, chanderi sarees from MP, ayurvedic products and handlooms from Kerala, and woollen shawls will be available at the bazaar.
The Ministry officials said that the bazaar provides a forum for showcasing and marketing products made by rural women belonging to Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
The officials said that the state government had been providing marketing support to the Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by organizing DWCRA bazaars successfully for the past 11 years.
About 600 participants of DWCRA/SHG women from 14 States like Assam, Haryana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Puducherry, Goa, Maharastra and Andhra Pradesh will participate.
The arrangements for the participants like accommodation and transportation are being made by the Department Of Rural Development. The entry is free and timings of the exhibition are from morning 10 am to 9 pm daily.
Minister for Rural Development Vatti Vasanth Kumar will inaugurate the exhibition on October 4th at 11:30 am.
