The SIT grilled Tollywood item song dancer Mumaith Khan at its office on Thursday.
SIT officials interrogated Khan from 10 am to 4:30 pm - six and a half hours.
During the interrogation, women officials of the SIT asked Khan whether she sold drugs or only consumed them. They also asked her from when she knew Puri Jagannadh, and what she was doing before entering the film industry.
The sleuths also quizzed Khan on why she had left the Telugu film industry and gone back to Mumbai leaving Hyderabad.
Other questions they asked her included:
1. where she spent her weekends 2. why she went to foreign countries along with film units though she only acted in item songs 3. what she had at the Goa Film Festival 4. how many times she went to the pubs of Tarun and Navdeep, and what sort of activities went on in them 5. how Calvin was known to her, and who introduced him to the Telugu film industry 6. whether Calvin had links with only the persons who received notices from the Excise Department or others
They also inquired into her personal life.
According to the SIT officials, Khan gave bold answers to their questions, and her inputs would significantly help the investigation. The SIT will issue notices to some other people of the Telugu film industry based on the information given by her.
Earlier, the SIT officials had asked Khan what language she would prefer the interrogation to be conducted in. She said that she preferred Hindi, and would use English, too, during the interrogation.
Meanwhile, Excise Enforcement director Akun Sabharwal said that Tollywood hero Ravi Teja would attend the SIT inquiry on Friday.
