The Cyberabad police on Tuesday issued a notification banning the use of remotely controlled drones, para-gliders and remotely controlled microlight aircraft within a five-kilometre radius of the Indian School of Business and the Gachibowli Stadium, in view of the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Inputs have been received by intelligence agencies about the possibility of attacks by terrorist / anti-social elements using of para-gliders, remote-controlled drones, remote-controlled microlight aircraft etc. There is a likelihood of a breach of peace and public tranquility, as also a grave danger to human life, health and safety, and damage to public property on that account," a statement issued by the police said, justifying the ban.
Prime Minister Modi will attend the 20th anniversary celebrations of the Indian School of Business (ISB) and the graduation ceremony of its Post-Graduate Programme Class of 2022 in the city tomorrow.
