The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has made elaborate arrangements for a grand welcome for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be visiting the city on Thursday.
The PM will participate in the celebrations of the completion of 20 years of ISB Hyderabad, and will address the graduation ceremony of the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) Class of 2022.
Modi will fly directly to the city from Japan where he has gone to attend the Quad summit and take part in other events.
The PM will arrive at the Begumpet airport at 1:25 pm, and from there will take a helicopter to the University of Hyderabad as ISB does not have a helipad.
He will then travel by road from HCU to ISB.
He will reach at ISB at 2 pm to attend the event.
The PM will then take the same route at around 3:15 pm and return to the Begumpet airport to depart for Chennai to participate in a host of programs in that State.
The BJP has set up banners, flexis and other boards at various places enroute the ISB welcoming the Prime Minister.
OBC Morcha National President K Laxman and former MLC N V S S Prabhakar inspected the arrangements on behalf of the party, and announced that the party would also felicitate Modi at the airport.
Laxman also slammed Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for skipping the Prime Minister's program once again, and alleged that KCR was deliberately violating protocol.
