The current waiting period of 20 days or, at times, more, could be reduced to a week the aid of these new tracks, claim RTA authorities.

With the commencement of the construction of two new tracks each for light vehicles and motorcycles, the waiting period for driving licence tests for the above is likely to come down considerably in the city.
The current waiting period of 20 days or, at times, more, could be reduced to a week the aid of these new tracks, claim RTA authorities.
With over 1,000 applicants appearing for these tests, the 20 existing tracks in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts - of which one is for heavy motor vehicles, 9 for other four-wheelers, and 10 for two wheelers - barely suffice. Applicants from Secuderabad, Khairatabad and Malakpet who opt for Uppal and nagole tracks have an even longer waiting period.
Road Transport authorities are hoping that once the four new tracks at Bandlaguda become operational, the waiting period will come down to a week or less, as each track can take more than 50 applicants each day.
