Double Bedroom Houses To Be Completed In 3 Months

The flagship free double bedroom housing scheme for the poor would be completed in three months and delivered to the beneficiaries, Minister for Housing and Endowments A Indrakaran Reddy said today.

He was inspecting the housing facility being completed in Mahabubnagar along with Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy, MLA Srinivas Goud and other officials.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister expressed satisfaction at the houses having several facilities. "We have taken every possible step to ensure that the houses for the poor have the facilities like never before," he said.

He also said that as of now the construction of about 40,000 houses out of 70,000 taken up was completed. The construction of all 1 lakh houses would be completed at the earliest, and they would be ready for disposal in three months, he claimed. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao himself would participate in programs to hand over the houses to the poor, he said.
