Doing Best For Special Status To AP: Raju

Union civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju today said that the issue of a no-fly zone over Tirumala would not come under his ministry.

Speaking to the media after worshipping Lord Venkateshwara at Tirumala, he said that that issue would come under the jurisdiction of the Defence Ministry.

Orders had been issued to airlines not fly over Tirumala, the union minister said.

The TDP government was doing its best to get special status for Andhra Pradesh, and there was no need for it to respond to useless allegations, Raju said. (NSS)
