The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Wednesday demanded the immediate dismissal of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy from his post, and the imposition of President's Rule, for the smooth completion of the process of Telangana state formation.
A delegation of TRS senior leaders submitted a memorandum to Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday, seeking his intervention for the immediate dismissal of the CM.
They also demanded a high-level probe into the
allegations levelled against Kiran Kumar Reddy by former DGP V Dinesh Reddy.
Talking to reporters later, Peddapalli MP G Vivek said that the CM had submitted fabricated reports on several occasions to "sabotage the Telangana movement". He said that this has been substantiated by Dinesh Reddy, who alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy had directed him to rake up the Maoist issue to stop Telangana formation. Therefore, the CM should be dismissed for misleading the Centre and all others, Vivek opined.
Vivek said that the CM did not take any measures to stop the ongoing agitation in Seemandhra. "Instead, he supported the protests in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema," he said. He also alleged that the CM was behind the
attacks on the properties of PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana in Vizianagaram.
TRS MLA Pocharam Srinivas Reddy alleged that Kiran Kumar Reddy was inciting the Seemandhra employees to continue their strike. He said that the people in the Telangana region are being subjected to injustice due to the strike. He also alleged that the power meant for Telangana region was being diverted to Seemandhra areas in the garb of the strike. He said the strike was "affecting Telangana farmers as they need electricity in the ongoing harvest season". (INN)
