Dharmapuri Arvind Slams Kavitha After Attack On His House

BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind today came down heavily on TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha and alleged that she was talking with arrogance.

Speaking to the media after an attack on his residence, Arvind alleged that Kavitha and TRS activists were behind the attack.

He asked Kavitha how she could attack his residence and threaten his 70-year-old mother.

He claimed that Kavitha was feeling cornered as her political career had reached the last stage, and said that he could understand the pain of the MLC.

Arvind welcomed the statement of Kavitha that she would contest against him in the next Lok Sabha elections, and spinned it as her agreeing to his request to take him on. He expressed hope that she would stand by her word, and said that he was now eagerly waiting for the issuance of the 2024 Lok Sabha election notification.

Referring to his claims that Kavitha had called up Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, he said that a senior office-bearer of the Congress had told him about the development involving Kavitha. Since Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was anyway tapping phones of all political leaders, he could find out the truth behind the allegations by checking out the call list of his daughter, Arvind said.

He added that both Congress and TRS leaders were in touch with him in Telangana to defect to the BJP.
