DGP Panel Finalized, 3 IPS Officers Short-Listed
It is being speculated that the government will appoint B Prasad Rao as DGP, who was appointed as the DGP in charge, after the retirement of ex-DGP V Dinesh Reddy.

The Union Public Service Commission has finalized a panel of 3 names for the appointment as the DGP of AP.
The panel includes the acting DGP, B Prasad Rao.
Central Administrative Tribunal issued a notice to the government on the petition, submitted by V Dinesh Reddy, the former DGP.
It is expected that the government will appoint Prasad Rao as DGP.
Sources indicated that Chief Secretary of AP Dr. P K Mohanty, who is in Delhi at present, received a letter from UPSC, finalizing the panel of DGPs.
The panel includes T K Das, Home Secretary, Ms. Aruna Bahuguna, Special DGP of CRPF and B Prasad Rao, the DGP in charge.
Government of AP had sent a list of 11 IPS officers to UPSC, for selection.
After the retirement of V Dinesh Reddy on 1st October, the governmentt of AP had appointed B Prasad Rao, who belongs to 1977 batch of IPS Officers as in charge DGP.
The panel sent by the Government of AP included Umesh Kumar, an IPS Officer of 1977 batch and Ashok Prasad, an IPS Officer of 1979 batch, and S.A. Huda.
