Damodar Rajanarasimha Blasts CM Over Telangana Presser
Without naming him, Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha today launched a snide attack against his own boss, bringing to the fore the worst-kept secret in AP.
Deputy CM Damodar Rajanarasimha today launched a snide attack against his own boss, bringing to the fore the worst-kept secret in AP - that nobody belonging to Telangana feels accountable to the currently united AP any more.
In his now much-cited press conference of yesterday, the CM had practically made public his opposition to the bifurcation of the state, though his official line was that several issues concerning people of all regions should be addressed before the state is bifurcated. That has resulted in much acrimony from Telangana leaders, including people who are supposed to be reporting to him such as his deputy.
Rajanarasimha said that nobody in the Congress who had defied the High Command had any career left in the party. He also said that commander himself should not be a conspirator, and wondered why the CM did not bother about the power and water-sharing issues all these years.
While Rajanarasimha did not take the CM's name anywhere, he left no one in any doubt about who he was referring to.
Rajanarasimha also said that the current Seemandhra agitations were being lead by anti-Congress forces.
Congress leader P Shankar Rao and KCR also blasted the CM, with the usual accusations of how he was acting like the CM of just Seemandhra and not the CM of the entire state, and how he was not fit to continue as CM anymore.
