A day after TRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha's name surfaced in the remand report filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the remand of businessman Amit Arora in the Delhi liquor policy scam, Kavitha slammed the Centre and said, "We are not afraid of agencies."
Speaking to the media at her residence, Kavitha said that her party leaders and she who were currently under the radar of the central agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate and the CBI, were ready to face any inquiry.
"We will face any kind of inquiry. If the agencies come and ask us questions, we will certainly answer them. But tarnishing leaders' images by giving selective leaks to the media is unfair, and the people will refute it. For the last eight years the opposition-ruled States in the country have been continuously targeted, but we are not afraid and will not stop exposing the BJP," Kavitha said.
"The Modi government came to power eight years ago. In these eight years, democratically-elected governments in nine States were toppled and the BJP formed its own governments in those State in an inappropriate way. Every child in the country knows that the ED arrives before PM Modi in poll-bound States. The same thing is happening in Telangana as we have elections next year," the MLC claimed.
She also dared Prime Minister Modi to prove that any of the TRS leaders being targeted by the ED and the CBI were guilty of any wrongdoings.
TRS workers gathered in large number at her residence expressing solidarity.
