Dattatreya Adopts Kolanupaka Village In Nalgonda
The Union minister will visit this village on September 26, to interact with the people and understand their needs, and start the process of development.
Bandaru Dattatreya, the Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment, had earlier adopted two villages under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) plan in the Warangal district.
The two villages are Sannur which has a famous Lord Venkateshwara temple, and Annaram Sharief which has a famous Dargah.
The main idea of the SAGY programme is to turn the selected Adarsh Grams into examples of healthiness, cleanliness, greenery and cordiality in the neighbourhood. And in the two villages above, village committees have been formed, proposals for roads worth Rs. 4.5 crores have been submitted to the State government, a Syndicate Bank branch has been opened, and distribution of computers to schools has been taken up.
Now the minister has adopted a village named Kolanupaka in the Nalgonda district. This village has an internationally renowned Jain temple.
The minister will be visiting this village on September 26, to interact with the farmers and others and understand their needs, address them, and start the process of making the village another model village akin to the two villages he adopted in the Warangal district.
