Purandeswari To Oppose T-Bill In Parliament
D Purandeshwari has decided to oppose the T-Bill as it "failed to address the concerns of the people living in the Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra regions".
Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari on Monday announced that she would oppose the Telangana Bill in the Parliament.
Speaking to media persons here, Purandeswari described the Telangana Bill as an "incomplete" one.
She said that the Bill did not accommodate the suggestions made by the Seemandhra union ministers.
Further, she said that the Bill "failed to address the concerns of the people living in the Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra regions".
"We have asked that Hyderabad be made a Union Territory on the lines of Delhi for a period of 10 years or till the capital of the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh is built. There is no provision in the Constitution for a common capital," she pointed out. (INN)
