An inter-ministerial central team will visit Andhra Pradesh from March 18-22 to assess the damages that had occurred due to the cyclones 'Helen' and 'Lehar'.
The eight-member central team will arrive at Hyderabad on March 18, and after meeting the Heads of Departments near the airport, the Team-I - consisting of RT & H Regional Officer Rama Varma and Agriculture director R P Singh - will leave for Vijayawada on the same day.
It will carry out an on-the-spot assessment on 19th and 20th March in Krishna and Guntur districts, and will return to Hyderabad on the evening of March 20.
The Team-II - consisting of Water Resources director Pankaj Tyagi, DW&S assistant advisor V K Bathla and Finance joint director Dr P G S Rao - will visit East Godavari and West Godavari districts on 19th and 20th March.
The team leader will arrive at Hyderabad on March 21, and a debriefing session with all the team members and HODs will be held at 3.30 pm in the Lakeview guest house on the same day. All the team members will leave for Delhi on March 22. (INN)
