The innovative passport verification system of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate will now be adopted across the country.
The Cyberabad police commissionerate had launched a new passport verification system by issuing 75 Samsung tabs to its verifying officers in the field in a record 3 days, about 40 days ago.
This was inaugurated by the RPO Hyderabad Ashwini Sattaru and IG Intelligence Shivdhar Reddy.
One week after the launch, the Joint Secretary, CPV, Ministry of External Affairs, Muktesh Pardesh, had visited the Cyberabad commissionerate, and a demo of the entire system was given to him.
On Tuesday, the entire team of TCS (which is the consultant for the MEA on Passport Seva), along with Sattaru, RPO Delhi Narendra Singh and other MEA officials visited the Cyberabad commissionerate for an on-field study of the project.
They went through the demo of the "Polydyne" software built by Mr. Raghuvas of ONV Skill Builders, Hyderabad, and the methods by which the three-day verification process was being completed.
There was an intense discussion on the security and other aspects on which improvements could be made.
Finally, the decision was taken to adopt this procedure at an all-India level and implement it in all states in the country.
The meeting was chaired by CP Cyberabad C V Anand, and the demo was given by ACP Passports Ravinder Reddy. (INN)
