CPI Asks Telangana Govt To Resolve Farmers' Issues
CPI Telangana Secretary Ch Venkat Reddy said the government should take measures to resolve the power crisis which has badly hit the agricultural sector.
CPI Telangana State Secretary Ch Venkat Reddy on Friday demanded that the State government take immediate steps to resolve the problems being faced by the farmers.
Speaking to media persons, Reddy expressed concern over the rising number of suicides by farmers.
He said that the government should take measures to resolve the power crisis which has badly hit the agricultural sector.
He said that the Centre should ensure that Telangana gets 52% of power as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
Venkat Reddy informed that the Left parties would meet in New Delhi on November 1 to discuss the currect issues in the country.
He added that the CPI was planning to conduct dharnas at all district collectorates of Telangana to highlight the failures of the State and Central governments. (INN)
